3.1. To create a Parent Account, you must be at least 18 years of age and a parent or legal guardian of the child(ren) for whom you are creating profiles.
3.2. The Platform is designed for children in UK primary school Years 1–6 (ages 5–11). Child Users may only access the Platform through a Child Profile created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
3.3. Children may not create accounts independently. All accounts must be set up by a parent or legal guardian who provides informed consent for the processing of their child's personal data.
4.1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4.2. Parent Accounts are accessed via magic link email authentication. You must ensure that the email address associated with your account is secure and accessible only by you.
4.3. Child Profiles are accessed using a child-friendly username and password set by the parent. Parents are responsible for the security of these credentials.
4.4. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
4.5. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised or are being used in breach of these Terms.
5.1. Prac2XL provides adaptive practice across core primary school subjects aligned with the UK National Curriculum. This currently includes Mathematics, with additional subjects (including Verbal Reasoning, Vocabulary, and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) planned or in development. The Service includes:
5.2. The Platform is designed to supplement, not replace, classroom teaching. We are not a school, tutor, or accredited educational institution.
5.3. We do not guarantee specific educational outcomes. Progress depends on many factors including frequency of practice, engagement, and the child's individual learning needs.
5.4. We continuously develop and improve the Platform. Features may be added, modified, or removed. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of material changes.
6.1. During the beta period, access to Prac2XL is by invitation only through valid invitation codes.
6.2. Beta users may experience features that are still under development. We welcome feedback and reports of errors through the in-app reporting system.
6.3. Beta access may be limited, modified, or withdrawn at any time.
6.4. Specific beta terms may apply in addition to these Terms, and will be communicated at the time of registration.
7.1. Access to the Platform requires an active subscription. Current pricing is displayed on our website and at the point of subscription.
7.2. Subscriptions are billed monthly via our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring payments until you cancel.
7.3. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until then.
7.4. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you will continue to have access until the end of the paid period.
7.5. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
7.6. If a payment fails, we may attempt to process it again. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts, your subscription may be suspended.
8.1. You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose: educational practice for primary school children.

9.1. All Content on the Platform, including questions, hints, visual materials, designs, logos, and software, is owned by Prac2XL or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
9.2. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
9.3. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Content without our prior written consent.
10.1. The Platform includes a feature allowing parents and children to report potential errors in questions, answers, or hints.
10.2. Reports are reviewed by our team. We may, at our discretion, award PracPoints to children who submit helpful and valid error reports.
10.3. Submitting a report does not guarantee any action will be taken. We will assess all reports and make corrections where appropriate.
11.1. PracPoints are earned through practice, achievements, and other activities.
11.2. PracPoints have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between accounts.
11.3. PracPoints may be redeemed for rewards configured by parents within the Platform. Prac2XL is not responsible for the fulfilment of parent-created rewards.
11.4. We reserve the right to modify the PracPoints system, including earning rates and redemption options, at any time.
12.1. We take the protection of personal data seriously, particularly children's data. Our collection, use, and storage of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
12.2. By creating an account and providing consent during child profile creation, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and that you consent to the processing of their personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
12.3. We process data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, including compliance with the Children's Code (Age Appropriate Design Code).
13.1. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". While we strive for accuracy and reliability, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
13.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prac2XL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
13.3. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13.4. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
14.1. We aim to keep the Platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
14.2. We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of planned downtime.
14.3. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by temporary unavailability of the Platform.
15.1. The Platform uses third-party services for hosting, payment processing, and email delivery. These include Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Stripe (payments).
15.2. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
15.3. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services, though we select providers with care and monitor their performance.
16.1. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@prac2xl.com. Upon closure, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16.2. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, your subscription payment fails and is not resolved within a reasonable period, we are required to do so by law, or we cease to offer the Service.
16.3. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ends immediately. Data retention and deletion will follow our Privacy Policy.
17.1. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Platform.
17.2. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you should stop using the Platform and cancel your subscription.
17.3. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently revised.
18.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
18.2. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
